Penny Joy Schnarrs, MBA

Before returning to the Association of American Medical Colleges in 2021, after a decade hiatus, Penny Joy Schnarrs most recently wrapped up a role at Highmark Health in internal communications, where she partnered closely with HR, strategy and executives to increase employee engagement, roll out a new mission, vision and strategy, and create a new intranet and new ways of connecting and collaborating with M365 and other tools and resources. She is also part-time faculty at Point Park University, teaching first-year students. She’s been what her grandmother referred to as a constant wanderer, traveling around the east coast in non profit and higher education friend and fundraising roles. She has spent her 20+ year career building meaningful connections to create positive impact and loves doing so in her current role as director of community relations and strategy.
